Just wanted to try out a different format on the squid

 

 

 

I wanted to give the image perspective, while also getting some good pos and neg space

This is the coloured squid design illustration the large more detailed A3 will have this kind of colour pallet. I edited the image and than added colour. You can see that the original design wasn't changed.

Hi guys im back

I have a wicked illustration/design  that I'm working on at the minute, its A3 so I'm looking into ways of getting a digital copy " scanning it in or taking a pic" in the mean time here is a smaller sketch of the same type of design.

Rust and Micro Environments

 

I wanted to capture textures in the environment that were hidden or lost. I wanted to find decaying and rotted textures, this process lead me to experiment with rust. I was inspired by gothic/horror video games like silent hill.
 

 I wanted to capture textures that were rusted but looked organic in nature, like an open wound. This process required me to look and find rust in places that the elements had had full affect.
 

 This then lead me on to micro environments, micro environments were areas that had rusted and had then started to have growth. These were areas that captured the idea of silent hill and my original idea to capture texture.

Some photography-Censorship in humans and primates

This was a real high end project that I was working on. I wanted to explore the idea of anonymity and security. That lead to censorship in humans and primates. The idea was that primates couldn't recognize apes in picture where the eyes were blacked out, I wanted to try this on humans.

Boogie2988 Shirt design close up

Here is a single design so that you can see it better. In general when making designs you just make the design and send it off as a tiff or as the original illustrator file. In this case I wanted people to see what the design and overall t-shirt would look like.

 

 

 

 

 

When you can visualize a digital project it goes without saying but the whole process becomes infinitely easier.

I went for a different approach to the business card, I wanted a bit of style and I wanted the card to be a different shape to attract attention which in the end is what will get you noticed.
